Sailing

I recently took classes at Offshore Sailing School at Liberty Landing a part of Liberty State Park in Jersey City, New Jersey. The three days (May 10, 16, and 17th) of classes were packed with sailing knowledge and hands on experience with a great instructor. The text book has great easy to follow diagrams and pictures and very easy to read. The instructor was highly experienced and was constantly teaching and showing us the technical things we needed to handle and sail the Colgate 26. A very fun boat and with the knowledge gained I know I can sail. We sailed the New York Harbor which includes the NY City Skyline and around the Statue of Liberty. The classmates were very serious about the class which made it a great learning experience. I strongly recommend this school and Alex Smith, our instructor. I am looking forward to more time on the water and sailing into the future! On the last day with a final exam, you receive a certification for sailing from the International Sailing School Association.

Want good southern Texas style BBQ and your in New York City? Try Hill Country! They have it all! Pork and Beef, Ribs, Chicken, Brisket, and all the trimmings. Collard Greens are great! Top it all off with the great smell of pit smoked BarBQ which permeates in the place and then live blues music and it is a great evening. To top it off, share the evening with great family members such as Johnny and Joanna and it is a hit! The decor in the place is country and down home. Located in Chelsea at 30 west 26th street.

I just came back from two fantastic days of skiing in Utah! I spent one day skiing at Alta, a ski only resort and one day at Park City with Sarah, Greg, Rick & Johnny. I was skiing and they were snowboarding and we had a great time. The conditions were excellent and the mountains and scenery were the best! With a base elevation of 6,900 and the summit elevation of 10,000 we had plenty of long great runs. A couple of my favorite runs at Park City: Mel's Alley and Hidden Splendor. Both runs are blue, so not difficult, but challenging and fun. It was great going down together! I would definately recommend Park City and Alta and hope to go back in the future.

A project under construction. This structural steel is part one of another phase. The next phase will consist of a large sanctuary with stadium seating. What you see is the frame work for a mall which will be the entrance and lobby of the future sanctuary and a chapel that will seat approximately 300 people. This building is in one of the boroughs of New York City.
